Meet the Gardeners!
Ashley Huang
Hey! I am Ashley Huang and I am a senior at Arcadia High School. I have two dogs; one is an Akita mix named Buck and the other is a Border Collie named Monty. They both like to eat vegetables as snacks. I’m taking APES because it seems like an interesting and life-changing class that I can learn from. I hope that I might eat healthier after taking this class. I’m super excited to see our plants grow and I can’t wait to harvest them.

Hello there ! I’m Natasha Phermsangngam and I am a junior at Arcadia High School. My hobbies include reading, writing, dancing, playing cello and piano, and cheer. I am a third-year member of the AHS Pep Squad’s Varsity Cheer team and was in our school’s orchestra for two years. I’m taking APES because I want to make a difference in the world and explore ways in which we can conserve Earth and its resources. Through APES, I have already attended several habitat planting events that have taught me so much about gardening and have allowed me to apply what I learn in the classroom to my everyday life. I hope to walk out of APES with a strong knowledge on how I can reduce my carbon footprint on the world and make it a better place for myself and many generations to come. My goal for this garden is to grow and harvest many fruits and veggies, successfully, so that I can create fun dishes and discover new flavors.

Hello! I am Sabrina Layson and I am a junior at Arcadia High School. I am taking AP Environmental Science because I want to learn and actively help the environment. I believe that protecting our environment is vital because it provides us with all of our essential organisms. Once I have finished my journey in APES, one specific goal I have is to share what I’ve learned and experienced and be able to spread the word on how others can make a difference! |
